Date
Friday October 24th 2014
Venue
Lecture Theatre, Blavatnik School of Government, 10 Merton Street
Behavioural economics has suggested that incentives, both monetary and non-monetary, might be key to improving performance. But could the success of these measures be dependent on personality? How do personality traits interact with incentives? Would recruiting public sector employees on the basis of personality make government more effective?
To discuss the role of incentives and personality in public sector performance the GEG seminar brings together three leading experts:
- Imran Rasul, Professor of Economics, University College London
- David Huffman, Associate Professor of Economics, University of Oxford
- Dr Ali Hasanain, Global Leaders Fellow, University of Oxford, and Assistant Professor of Economics at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)
