Emily Jones acts as Witness for the UK Trade & Business Commission

In 8 July 2021, Dr Emily Jones (Director, Global Economic Governance programme) spoke as a Witness before the UK Trade & Business Commission, in a panel investigating 'The Big Picture of Digital Trade', and chaired by Commissioner Prof. L. Alan Winters.The session looked at the UK’s international position with regard to digital trade and data, considering the trends and opportunities, as well as the threats such as other countries restricting business operations.

Dr Emily Jones said: "We need a trade strategy for the UK on digital… it’s not clear to me that we’ve thought about what our priorities are and how we should be approaching them."
