GEG is looking for a highly motivated Research Officer to join our small and dynamic team. The Research Officer is central to GEG, and the successful applicant will be involved in coordinating publications, and in convening high-level events. Responsibilities will include i.a. research assistance to GEG Deputy Director Dr Emily Jones and other members of the research team, preparing and finalizing programme publications, and liaising with invited guests and speakers.

You will have excellent writing skills (including editing and summarizing academic work for a wider audience); accuracy and attention to detail; ability to deliver projects on deadline; initiative, and sensitivity to cultural differences. You must have an exceptional academic track record, with a postgraduate degree in a subject closely related to GEG’s research. The post is well suited for a pre-doctoral student. 

 

Start Date: September 2015
This post is a fixed-term appointment and subject to external funding
