GLF Camila Villard Duran selected to SELA Group
Camila Villard Duran, Global Leaders Fellow and Assistant Professor of Law at the University of São Paulo, is now a member of the SELA group. The SELA (Seminario en Latinoamérica de Teoría Constitucional y Política) is an annual gathering in Latin America of top legal scholars from Latin American countries, Spain and the United States. The group was created twenty years ago by students and professors of the Yale Law School. The main aim of the seminars is to build a space for reflection for a group of people who share common interests in Latin American issues. Each year, the members of the SELA group debate important legal and political problems for Latin America and produce academic materials from these discussions. In June 2016 the meeting was in Havana, Cuba and the group developed discussions about the US and Cuba relationship.
